TDA2030 stereo amplifier circuit

This TDA2030 stereo amplifier circuit series have disposition in circuit as OCL form is stereo system provide power driver of 14 watt / channel at load 4 ohm. Suitable for beginners thought will build the electroacoustics to listen yourself. This project use IC of The SGS company number TDA2030, which SGS said that TDA2030 is power amplifier IC in 5 pin form. Setting circuit on a class AB power amplifier to the output of the high harmonic distortion and low crossover, Ready, shock output protection, and the temperature is too high, complemented within the integrated circuit.


As we experiment to build this project, and listen to the sound quality nice. We turn the volume fully to several hours. The IC is not hot. Or just warm. Therefore, suitable for beginners build this circuit to listen with yourself.

Technical Specifications of IC-TDA2030
– maximum voltage supply used of +/- 18VDC.
– Begin working at minimal voltage of +/- 6VDC.
– Power driver output 14 watt at 4 ohm and 9 watt at 8 ohm.
– Maximum current of 900mA.
– Frequency response range 10HZ-140KHz at -3dB.

How this circuit works.
In circuit figure is a single channel amplifier will see that there is very few equipment are pin 1 and pin 2 of IC-TDA2030 as input pin. By pin 1 is noninverting input and pin 2 is inverting input. Then input of power amplifier is entered to C1 into pin 1 of IC.

-The R3 is used to determine the input impedance of IC.
-Pin 3 is leg that enter voltage -Vcc, and pin 5 is leg for +Vcc.
-Four capacitors C3,C4,C5 and C6 are used to bypass voltage +Vcc and -Vcc.
-A R1 as acts adjust gain of IC in negative feedback form are: IF upper value R1 the increasing rate of IC will upper as well.
The R4 and C7 are protector a oscillated high frequency.

How to build.
First, place more parts into PCB as layout figure 2 completely. And ICs are the final sequence must be installed before the cooling or heat sink, then Soldering it on PCB because if soldering ICs before, Holes between the ICs and the heat sink may be mismatched.


When put device fully, and check correctness. Be careful, the polarity of the electrolyzed capacitors. Then, connect the speakers to the point. And connect the ACV of transformer size not less than 1.5A, AC Volt-12V,0,12V or 15V,0,15V One or the other to PCB at power connector point,
Our amplifiers are ready to test by we use We use a finger, touch input on both, will noise of the hum out of the speakers that normal good. Then use a good quality tone controls. To test the complete sound again.

  2. C8 should be at least 1000µF. C8=C9. C3 and C6(100µF) are useless as long as C8 and C9 are ten times greater(they are in parallel).

    i made a circuit with tda 2003 . sound is ok but there is some noise like hummm.
    i used a trafo 12v 3,5 A & a cap 6800 in power supply , shielded wires in preamp , star earthing in box .
    please send me some words to resolve this problem . thanks .

  5. What does AKA and KAK stand for? Are yhey those unknown components, which say the reader not to build it, cause the circuit is not tested? 🙂
