12v Regulated Automotive Switching DC-DC Converter

Tuesday, November 20th, 2007

This DC-DC converter is designed to accept a range of input voltages that are present in a car’s electrical system, and provide a regulated 12v output. Nominally, the battery voltage is about 13.8v, but when the engine is being started, the voltage can often droop down to 6 or 7 volts for a short time, [...]

12V to 50V dc converter for car by TL072 + 2N3055

I used a main part is 2N3055 Transister and IC TL072 for pulse oscillator generator. The output have voltage +50V and -50V at 2A to 3A. You must is used this circuit for audio sound automotive or motorcycle amplifier. Circuit 12V to 50V dc converter for car by TL072 + 2N3055 PCB 12V to 50V [...]

12V to +-20V converter (for audio amplifier)

Friday, April 20th, 2007

The limitation of car supply voltage (12V) forces to convert the voltages to higher in order to power audio amplifiers. In fact the max audio power x speaker (with 4 ohm impedance) using 12V is (Vsupply+ – Vsupply-)^2/(8*impedance) 12^2/32 = 4.5Watts per channel, that is laughable… For powering correctly an amplifier the best is to [...]
