Annoying high pitch noise generator by 555

This is a simple high pitch noise generator circuit. It has a timer oscillator with a frequency variable from 15khz – 30khz.
The circuit can be mounted in a plastic box like I have done. The good thing about high frequency sounds is that it is very hard to find where they are coming from. Also, the noise is very annoying and irritating. The crystal speaker is the creamy coloured thing at the bottom of the photo on the left.

555 timer pulse generator

To drive ignition coils is to use a 555 timer pulse generator. A 555 generates a square wave output that triggers the 2N3055. Adjusting the two potentiometers and the value of the capacitor will change the frequency of the output.

555 timer-Oscillator tutorial.

I like IC 555 very much.

In this tutorial I will show you what exactly the 555 timer is and how to properly use it by itself or in combination with other solid state devices without the requirement of an engineering degree. This timer uses a maze of transistors, diodes and resistors and for this complex reason I will use a more simplified (but accurate) block diagram to explain the internal organizations of the 555. So, lets start slowly and build it up from there.
