Modem wireless router overheating troubleshooting

This is Modem wireless router overheating troubleshooting by my son. If your Internet is very slow in the daytime is The modem wireless router is overheat. My son measure its temperature was about 55 degrees Celsius. As Figure 1

measure its temperature was about 55 degrees

So we figured out a way to reduce the heat to it. The right way is to install a fan to air absorbs heat quickly. Blowing into it Not what should be avoided due to the dusty lot. There may be problems later.

Then He used a screwdriver to open the box as Figure 2.

To drill holes in the bottom and the cooling fan holding.

Next step, take the DC 12V Fan to put on the top box case to compare as Figure 3

He used a pencil tick mark as Figure 4 to Drill hole for sucking the hot air of the internal circuit inside the modem.

Start poking a hole for sucking hot air fan. As Figure 5.

He did not like the edge of the hole. He then decorated to look successfully again as Figure 7

Then, he assembled fan to the box case of modem as Figure 9.

Because we use a big fan Current consumption is about 0.7A, so he apply 12V 1A DC power supply to DC fan for fully work.

Next, he measure its temperature was about 30 degrees Celsius. As Figure 10. Our Internet return to work fast as normal.
